real time best ever rapper/you know what it is

I feel confident that i have successfully narrowed down hip hop to it's top 3 contenders

We have Lil B (aka based god, aka lil bars, aka beezy b, aka black ken, etc)

http://media.soletron.com/blog/wp-co...11/03/lilb.jpg

If sexiness was the only factor by which we are judging he would win easily

MF DOOM (aka DOOM, aka viktor vaugn, aka metalface, aka metal fingers, aka king geedorah, aka zev love x, aka the supervillian, etc)
http://images.starpulse.com/Photos/P...oom-rap-01.jpg
representing average looking mutha****as round the globe, ya feel me?
Quote:

look like a black wookie when he let his beard grow
weirdo, brown skin'ded always kept his hair low
rumor has it its a S-curl accident
DOOM was always known to keep the best girls backs bent
Thats why he's the best ever

Eminem
http://www.killerhiphop.com/wp-conte...04/eminem2.jpg
THIS GUY IS WHITE AND HE RAPS

So, who else knows that Mf doom is the best rapper?

runner ups
lil wayne
too short
killer mike
pete rock

djchameleon 07-03-2011 09:32 PM

I need to vote anal beads on this one, can't pick any of those options

Sparky 07-03-2011 09:42 PM

dj sometimes you gotta step up and be a man!

Seriously tho, i thought you loved eminem D:

djchameleon 07-03-2011 09:43 PM

I do like Em but I just can't get behind him as best to ever do it.

Sparky 07-03-2011 09:49 PM

aight then go with doom i dont see the problem here

someonecompletelyrandom 07-03-2011 10:12 PM

I don't think it's far fetched that Eminem might be the most talented. His lyrics aren't always Shakespeare but if we're talking on a technical level I could definitely see it.

Sparky 07-03-2011 10:42 PM

Yeah, he's the best I've seen at freestyling too.

Kirby 07-04-2011 01:22 AM

None of these are the best.

Espeically not Lil B or DOOM.
Eminem's damn good, but the best? No.

Engine 07-04-2011 01:45 AM

You didn't need to include joke nominees. You could have offered some more serious ones to strengthen your point.

Zev Love is the best of your poll.

Fucking obviously.

Mrd00d 07-04-2011 03:27 AM

I find this poll disturbing. I had more respect for Matious before this. Wondering if he's joking. You could have easily put up some more options dude. Lil B and Kreayshawn (srsly, already?), Eminem? /spit. DOOM is a contender, but certainly not the only contender. I'd have laughed less if it had been Afroman up there (b/c he's actually good).

Dood, that's a bit rough. It's obviously not sooper serious.

I still have nothing but respect for you, matious.

"Especially" not Doom? I don't think your listening hard enough bro

And did you know Lil B released an album entitled "I'm Gay", because if not for Doom's existence, that would make him the best rapper easily...

Kreayshwan is probably the closest one to tech9 though so please vote! It matters a lot to me :(

trust me I have many more enthralling hip hop polls just waiting to burst out on to this keyboard

DoseOne always.

Regardless of selections.

I've listened as hard as I plan on it. I've heard about four albums from him or his groups or side projects or whatever. The only half decent thing I've ever heard from him was that Adult Swim Dangermouse album.

And I didn't mean it like I dropped him to 0 respect in my book FFS, just like, not on the same page anymore.

Young based god, and I look like Miley Cyrus.

I bet you listen to Kid Cudi.

(PS That was a diss)

He doesn't look like Miley Cyrus... he's black, and a guy. He doesn't have T n A, he doesn't wear makeup. Different hair color, etc. I would never imagine that he looked like Miley Cyrus.

And yes, I can assume this is a song lyric of his. Does the line before or after this rhyme? I mean, what's the point of this line? Also, what's the point in bastardizing the word 'based'? What did he base his meaning on, freebasing? I don't understand. Based God... I think "Based God on what?"

Quote:

base/bās/
Verb: Have as the foundation for (something); use as a point from which (something) can develop: "the film is based on a novel".
Adjective: Without moral principles; ignoble: "the electorate's baser instincts of greed and selfishness"; "we hope his motives are nothing so base as money".
LOL I'll call him Base God

d

It's funny because no other rapper is boasting about looking like a little girl. It's just jokes man, he's the anti-hip hop artist.

"Based" was originally slang for stuff that was basic or lame, lil b is the "based god". The dude is completely aware of his limitations.

I sincerely want to know why you don't like him as a rapper. I feel like your listening to the beats and not what he's saying if that was the only album you found halfway decent. It's easily his most commercial.

Damn straight I do. He's not the best, but he has a good album, and a good mixtape or two.

His flow and voice have always been boring to me. I just can't listen to him very much.

djchameleon 07-05-2011 07:07 PM

idk maybe I picked the wrong mixtape to listen to but I forced myself to listen to Bitch MOB and I just couldn't barely survived making it through that crap.

I think that is in part because you like your production really clean or overproduced. It was great for what it was. I do think you would like "Im Gay" a lot actually, you should give him a 2nd chance.

Werd, although I've already voted for DOOM.

Surell 07-10-2011 12:41 PM

Good god eminem can eat my nutjuice.

Any time I listen to a Biggie track, he kills it. Ghostface is a personal favorite but i think he's one of the best for how wild crazy unpredictable he can get. Doom reminds me of Ghostface in some ways, only smoother, so in technical terms i think he could probably beaat Ghost. I'm a tad behind in hip hop knowledge so these are my contenders.

[MERIT] 07-10-2011 12:49 PM

This poll is like going to McDonalds and them being out of everything but a Filet-O-Fish and 6 hour old fries. No matter what you choose, it's all sh*t.

Seriously man. Go to Google. Type in Chino XL. Type in Brother Ali. Type in Canibus. Do somethin!

Dirty 07-11-2011 08:12 PM

matious you are taking your lil b trolling too far man. I understand what lil b does a little better now, but unchain yourself from his nutsac already.

Doom is so over rated on this forum and the internet in general from what I've seen. I even like Doom a lot but he isn't an elite rapper. He's got a great unique flow and a raw feel to him, but half his lyrics are jibberish.

I can't argue Em as the best ever. I think he's way under rated on here and gets so much hate. But given his catalog, and his pure skills with rhyme schemes, delivery, and lyrics I think he probably is the best ever. Nas is my personal favorite but Em is super talented and I appreciate most of what he's done. Even most of his hits (minus that BS Crack A Bottle and Ass Like That) are real lyrical and metaphorically great. Not Afraid is still an awesome song even though it gets no love.

This is all complete bull****. Doom has been rapping since tupac started out, and continues to remain relevant. He has never released any bad music.

If you think his lyrics are jibberish your not listening hard enough.

Dirty doesn't have time for any rappers besides Nas, Eminem, and Dirty. No need to ponder his opinion. He'll never understand the greatness of Doom.

Get off Lil B's dick. He could have all the "swag" in the world, but his music still sucks.

Get off saying generic junior high terminology as a criticism of an artist.

It's not like i can't be convinced that he has less then good aspects of his music, it's just that you lil b haters are more blind then his fans.

His music has more going on then what you can judge from listening to 1, 10, or 20 songs. Take the time to listen to him, get back to me with a constructive criticism, and maybe I will "get of his dick"

What terminology? Swag? Isn't that the word you're always saying to be hip?

Recommend me some more of his stuff. What I've heard, I haven't liked.

Yes i realize that, I meant that in the most general way possible. Many great artists have a well-known misstep or bad album, Mos Def has "tru magic" for example.

I meant, if you look at his discography through just an objective stand point, it's all positively reviewed and well received from both other artists and most recognizable music publications.

Considering his career has lasted two decades, enough time for ATCQ, De La Soul, Rakim, Fugees, etc to be virtually non-existant anymore, thats a pretty good feat.

"Im Gay"

It's the easiest and most obvious. All his other stuff you actually have to have a morbid sense of humor to appreciate.
