Lil Wayne vs Big L

Both artists are known for rapping puns non-stop. Who do you think is better at it?

Personally, I think Big L lines are stronger and more coherent and sensible, but Wayne's flow is more diverse and fun to listen to. Wayne also benefits from modern production.

Who do you guys think is cooler?

It's close to impossible to vote against Big L. I think he does it smoother and more consistently, not relying on bullsh*t filler just to make stuff rhyme like Wayne sometimes does. My vote goes to Big L (RIP).

There's not many that I would vote over Big L.

Lil Wayne is definitely not an exception.

It's funny, I actually think Wayne's production is one of his drawbacks. Not voting because I don't know enough about Big L.

Yeah, you mean like the pop sound of it?

I'm also referring to the effects they put on his voice and all the background comments they splice in, the "yeahs!" and "weezy!" samples and all those little elements which give the illusion he's rapping good.

Check out his unplugged performance. If he'd cut a record like that I'd be swayed.

Definitely Big L. Hands down. I try to get into Lil Wayne but it just doesn't happen.

I like Lil Wayne more as a rapper for the reasons you said, matious.
