I am a hip hop producer, emcee, writer, performer and poet that needs feedback on how to bring my tunes to life through mixing and mastering.... I have no big issues with everything else above except for the mixing and mastering department. My profile gives links to some of my pieces with plenty coming including an album i hope to have done summer 2012.... There originals in which i display everything mentioned above except the songs and music is raw (not mixed or mastered)... Help me understand what will beef these songs up and make them clean and smooth in any stereo??? Any feedback would be helpfull.... Comments are always welcomed.... Thankyou...

You kind of need to let us know what program you have/use. I'm no mix/master guru but learning the basics and expanding on what you know over time can help you out a lot.

I use cubase 6 for all production and recording... The main things are giving the instruments clarity... making the vocals sit on top of the mix and just plain making these potentially good songs sound there absolute best... Check out the links in my profile to the soundcloud... I have 3 very musical and positive from the heart hip hop tunes... and four productions that are in song structure for lyrics some of which ive written but could easily be taken in a different direction for film and commercial use... Please give me your opinions and feedback... thanx a ton in a advance...
