Who's on Top?

My favorite has to be Drake. Songs like Hell Ya Freakin' Right, Miss Me, Headlines, The Motto, Make me Proud, and Take Care. Definitely the best artist out there in my opinion. I jam to him all day long.

My other favorites are Wiz Khalifa and Yelawolf. Young Wild & Free, Sky High, Taylor Gang, Damn it Feels Good to be a Taylor, No Sleep, Roll Up, and Black & Yellow from Wiz are my favorites. From Yelawolf, Daddy's Lambo and Pop the Trunk are among my favorites. Daddy's Lambo, that song is boss. I love the hell of that one.

I listen to some Mac Miller, he's pretty good too. My favorites are Smile Back and Nikes on My Feet. I can see him becoming the new Eminem when he gets more and more popular. Speaking of Eminem, I listen to some of his old music. Forgot about Dre, Lose Yourself, Purple Bills, Big Weenie, Till I Collapse, and tons more.

Blarobbarg 05-06-2012 01:13 PM

Here you go bro. Here's what's on top.

That should get you going with some real hip-hop.

YOLO 05-06-2012 01:20 PM

The first video, I had to pause at 1:06. That was terrible, you can't understand what he's saying at all. Plus, he sounds angry. I don't like songs like that, just ruins the whole set-up.

The second one, seems too mellow. Might just be the quality, but I didn't see anything worth listening to in it. You've got to be able to "feel" the rap, but also not have someone pissed off in the microphone, like the first one.

For the third, even worse than the other two. Can hardly hear what they are talking about, and they sound like crap. I don't assosciate myself with hip-hop, I'm more of a rap fan. Rap as in, Lil Wayne, Drake, and Wiz Khalifa. They are the bomb, can't be beat.

Exo 05-06-2012 01:25 PM

Edit: Just read the previous post. This dude is lost. The ****ing guy doesn't like Madvillian. WHO THE HELL DOESN'T LIKE MADVILLIAN?????

YOLO 05-06-2012 01:32 PM

I liked those. Those were pretty good, in fact, I added 3 of them to my playlist. Here's one I haven't listened to in a long time:

That was horrible. I'm glad you liked three of my suggestions. I'm still mad at you for not liking Madvillian though.

How's this one? Also pretty good.

EvilChuck 05-06-2012 01:35 PM

I feel sorry for you OP, this place is a nightmare if you like popular music. I had to leave for a while after someone claimed this was better than Beyonce, and wasn't even trolling

Also horrible.

Listen, don't take that to heart okay. You can like that all you want. It's fine. I just have a superior taste in music so that's why I don't like it.

YOLO 05-06-2012 01:40 PM

@Chuck: "This video contains content from UMG. It is not available in your country."

@Exoskel: To each his own I guess. I'll try to find more less popular songs.

YOLO 05-06-2012 01:41 PM

This one is great too. If you don't like it, then I'm not sure what else to post.

YOLO 05-06-2012 01:47 PM

There are more than 10 parts to it, so check out the others if you like it.

2 things:
1) That was not Rap or Hip hop
2) You have bad taste in music. Sorry :(

Suggestions:

Exo 05-06-2012 01:57 PM

Haha, YOLO made Phantom's signature.

Phantom Limb 05-06-2012 02:03 PM

I had to, it was too good to pass up.

Watch out, we've got a badass over here.

Blarobbarg 05-06-2012 02:09 PM

Dude, just... stop while you're ahead. Only bad things can come of this.

I like certain music. Someone doesn't agree, oh well. Why should I stop?

Phantom Limb 05-06-2012 02:12 PM

I'm not even sure who the badass is in this situation:confused:

Not the music, man. The "badass" comment. Don't pick a fight, it won't work. It will only earn you the anger of people here.

That said, you are totally entitled to your musical opinions. Have you ever gone through the history of hip hop? Explored its roots? You may find stuff you like from back in the day.

14232949 05-06-2012 02:43 PM

Drake, Drizzy or whatever you're calling yourself? Can you actually name 10 rappers?

anticipation 05-06-2012 03:06 PM

Really don't see the point of posting death grips or ASAP rocky in a thread trying introduce someone to quality hip hop. Here's the dope **** homie:

You don't think ASAP Rocky is a good segue from mainstream to underground? You can't always just jump in. As you can see earlier in the thread dude immediately dismissed madvillian, so just hopping straight into the dopest of the dope probably won't work. You gotta ease into it.

Surell 05-06-2012 03:17 PM

Shabazz Palaces.

:)

14232949 05-06-2012 03:34 PM

Why doesn't someone put him over to some Nas, Biggie or Ghostface Killah to start with?

Surell 05-06-2012 04:00 PM

Now there's an idea!

Blue Scholars and Jedi Mind Tricks are both great. For Jedi Mind Tricks, I recommend the Servants In Heaven, Kings In Hell album. I have 7 of their releases in my collection, and that one is tops.

Sparky 05-06-2012 06:23 PM

yolo don't listen to these simple minded fools. Drake is the hardest out right now

here are some dope songs i like

lol he said i got your grandma on my dick

DoctorSoft 05-06-2012 10:09 PM

Dude, not really anything to do with the thread, but it's nice to find someone else who loves that Say Anything song. I don't care what you guys say, that song's the ****.

Also:

Some dope ****, holmes.

Deviouz 05-06-2012 11:51 PM

Strange music will blow up this year...

Conor 05-07-2012 04:46 AM

Some good songs on there but I would suggest YOLO you try 50 Cent and DMX

Some good 50 Cent songs include: In Da Club, Death To My Enemies. Baby By Me and Disco Inferno as an example.

Some good DMX songs include: The Rain, Where the Hood At and X Gonna Give it To Ya.

Goofle 05-07-2012 06:52 AM

Wait, a troll generated a music discussion.

Can we all pause for a moment of silence.

As if you're in any position to be giving others recommendations

John Terry doesn't just start the clap, he spreads it too.
