Thanks Janz! I haven't checked out any of Lifs stuff yet.

And yeah, I have the Money Store, haven't analyzed the lyrics yet, but you're right, that is a crazy dark album, will check it out

How bout some old school (mid 90s maybe) hip hop albums with worthy lyrics?

He can be a little hit-or-miss but I, Phantom and the Emergency Rations EP are terrific from start to finish.
