J Cole
I don't think there are any J Cole threads around but I figured that I would make one.
Born Sinner came out this past tuesday and has been in my rotation pretty heavily. He decided to go a bit darker for his sophmore effort. As much crap as people give hip hop artists for using skits I actually loved that he had some on here. It is a staple that's sorely been missed. I like hearing skits between certain tracks. Cole ends up name dropping a bit big time and using samples from tracks that people love and are nostalgic about to ride that fame. "Let Nas Down" and "She Knows" have been getting some heavy replays from me. I recently added Villuminati to that list as well. The only thing that doesn't really mess with the vibe of the album are his two radio singles. Power Trip and Crooked Smile seem so damn out of place. They were purely added just for commercial appeal.

I already have the album downloaded though and wanted a physical copy. afdslkj;sldfj;lkjd No wonder the album art for the one on my mp3 player didn't match my copy I picked up. I got the stupid regular version that leaves off the good shit at the end. Yes, it's worth the $13 in my opinion. I feel like this album is something that Kanye would have put out years ago.

^Cool, I'll probably check it out. I've seen a couple other sites say this album is boring, but they've been wrong plenty times before. I think the deluxe version comes with a physical copy of J Cole's latest mixtape too...not to salt your wounds or anything.

When they say it's boring they are talking about J Cole's kind of laid back flow and they most likely don't like his personality or w/e but if you liked his first album then you'll love this.
Truly Yours 2 mixtape?

I like some of his stuff but since Hip Hop generally bores me now I just listen to stuff I know will be slightly interesting. J. Cole isn't that guy, but I do kinds respect him as an artists.
