Biggie owns. Glad to see he hasn't been forgotten. Flow sick as hell.

Jay Z, Eminem, Dr. Dre, Snoop Dog, Andre 3000, and Ice Cube should not be in the Top 10.

Tupac, Nas, Rakim deserve to be in the Top 10.

Wu Tang, NWA, and Krs One should be ranked much higher.
im probably going to be hated for this but i never saw why people liked him so much. I never listened to what made him so amazing, could you answer for me? Peronally I Never liked any of his songs besides hate me now

I love him.He is one of the greatest lyrists/songwriters/MC's of all time. His beats are kinda meh but he kills on the mic. I love his diction, metaphors and the way he puts his words together. I think he is a genius when it comes to word play and coming up with lyrics. His contemporaries/peers of his era don't compare.

Fair enough. He would probably be in my top 10 tbh. Maybe top 1.

I don't understand how this list is made, just based on votes? It looks to me like it's more of a popularity contest than anything else.

I don't have a lot of knowledge about rap cause I mainly listen to new stuff, but I do have a few thoughts on the ones I listen to.

Jay Z should absolutely not be in the top 10

Of any rap artist, I think Nas should be number 1

Em and Tupac for sure should be in the top 10

Lil Wayne is far too low. I do not think he is top 20 worthy, but Dedication 2 was great and he deserves to be higher than 50.

Much of life IS a popularity contest

they choose presidents that way so im not surprised they choose their fav rappers that way too.

i tell you what i do find surprising, how they still keep sucking Tupac's dick even after he is dead, same with Biggie, don't get me wrong they were great but enough is ENOUGH ppl act like rap and Hip hop can do no better than them, like EVER.

I do think they belong on the list and that they do deserve credit for all they did, but i certainly don't think they are the prototype of what a rapper should be.

on Illmatic he is awesome. I've never thought he came anywhere near to achieving that level of lyricism or flow again. even by his next album It Was Written he already sounds a bit bored, and not as good lyrically.

however his latest album Life Is Good is probably the best he has sounded on the mic since Illmatic imo
