There were singles here and there that I would listen to that came way before DMX but to actually listen to a full length hip hop album it was definitely his first album.

On second thought, it wasn't Aes that helped FF pull me under, it was Death Grips. I came into Aesop after asking for suggestions in the Rap & Hip Hop Thread.

my first rap album (and first album in general) was by jay-z (vol 2). it was confiscated by my mom within a few days of obtaining it. from then on i learned to hide my music. my next album was eminem's sslp, which was a godsend for 11 year old white boys nationwide.

Krsone, but before that i thought all rap was like it was the radio. I was like 14 haha. But as soon as I heard him it lead me to A tribe called Quest, Wu tang and others made me love hip hop before then I had no idea how much good hip hop was out therw.
