Not a fan, but Lil B released stuff in more of an indie rock direction with California Boy and a New Age/Ambient album as TheBasedGod.

Skyblew released some really straightforward jazz stuff too.

I'm sure Method Man did a song with Limp Bizkit, not sure if it can count towards the 'nu metal' genre that Limp Bizkit were in, but yeah
