I'd say Jay-Z . Really like his way & his lyrics.
But I don't know if it still possible to class him as being a rapper, but I also think The Streets are pretty cool.

He's alive... and had a rap career. I think he qualifies.

Well, his last album isn't pretty much rapping, and I thought it was about rappers who were still rapping, or something like that
