It's not that I liked Kendrick before he got famous, I just prefer his older stuff mang, I could easily sit and listen to "To Pimp a Butterfly" or his new series of "untitled"

It really all depends on your view of what an "underground artist" really is, like I said, it's a web of opinions. I guess the exposure topic nowadays is really irrelevant because you got things like Sirius radio that play pretty much everything you can find.

Just an opinion and nothing more. A forum wouldn't be a forum without discussion.

You only admitted to it being an opinion after I called you out on it.

My point was more directed towards exposure, and the fine line between underground and fame.
So, what's the fine line in your opinion? Though, it wouldn't really be a fine line based on an opinion.

What's your opinion on what an underground artist is?

Someone that makes music without branching out to a wider audience for monetary gain.

That's a fair point, so in other words not begging for attention and money? and what was it from my opinion that doesn't tickle you the right way?

The exposure point. A lot of underground artists gain a lot of exposure, but that doesn't necessarily bring them out of the underground.

Could you give me an example of someone who is underground and has blown up?
