My thoughts about Emimem are mixed. Some of his music is very deep and touches the soul, but a lot of the time I think he says things just to get a reaction. I know he's not afraid to say what's on his mind, but I think some of what he's saying is exagerated by him. But his music is creative and hard hitting. Of course we have Dre to thank for that, but actually I've heard his stuff way before he was with Dre and before he was known and that stuff I think is his best work. He was so real in his rhymes and his delivery. I think he's gotten a bit commercial lately and I wish he would go back to his roots of rhyming. I think he's moving back in the direction of making his music less commercial and more real, but we'll have to wait for his next album. I'm looking forward to it.

He's atleast something original. Not really my style though, but he did create his own 'thing'.

Although like Skanky said, I think he says half of the garbage he says to get attention and a reaction. Just like his buddy 50 Cent and the deal with Ja Rule.

Well....

Like his old songs were just woah.. but his latest songs are something else. Even if you ask me.. 'Kim' which is said to be the most ill song ever, is very deep... I think it holds great meaning. He is showing how much it hurt him that his wife had cheated and left him for anthor guy.

'so long bitch ya did me so wrong
i dont wanna go on living in this world with out you'

To me, I may only be 16 but I can fully understand that emotion.

If 8 mile was really how his mom was, then the boy has got problems complaining about his mom. Sure she was poor and not the best but she gave him a car and crap. That is only if that is how his real mom was.

Here's a thought; let's stop labeling music and fighting over what genre a certain band is, and start listening to whatever pleases our ears no matter what anyone thinks of it! ;)

I bet his life wasn't half as bad as millions of people's lives are. He just got lucky enough to get famous complaining about it.

Yeah, I only heard parts of it were. I never saw it, but I actually heard that he acted pretty well. Did you see it?
