We read what you're saying. It's not complicated. We're saying that at times you have to be precipitous to deal with toxic ideas that are difficult to nail down. It's not necessarily the most logical approach but the reality demands that it is logical.

I just want any of you people to admit that you don't have an undeniable case against Addidas.

I made it clear that I don't disagree that problematic attitudes can be difficult to nail down.

I wouldn't welcome a climate where it's considered the right thing to do to do a witch hunt on someone, based on a feeling that he/she might possibly be a bit problematic.

I did, I literally addressed your point several times with the same counterpoint. So did Batlord.

Break it down.

Yes, you can't say he's definitively racist off this one comment because it's not blatantly racist,

That's your point being acknowledged^

but

Now this is when I make my rebuttal.

more often than not comments like that are coming from a racist because they hide in subtlety in a world that shuns racism.

And that's the rebuttal you fail to address while instead opting to falsely claim we aren't acknowledging your highly valued point.

Regardless, calling a bilingual person half-literate for speaking broken English is still bigoted whether he realized it or not.

This is the most important point that has also been failed to be addressed. See, the thing about this point is that it's not saying the person is racist, it's saying that the statement is racist. So counter arguing that we don't KNOW he's racist off this statement isn't addressing the point that the statement in it's self is racist regardless of it's intentions.

Lucem, you're right, it's silly to talk about what I would or wouldn't do IRL. Glad you brought it up. Maybe you should write an instrumental about it. I recommend a piano paired with a clarinet. With ambient sounds of you hanging from your shower curtain you ****ing failure.

And my biggest thing was with how he said that people in Malaysia don't know how to use elevators and then tried to play it off as how white people in Malaysia also don't. Like, really? You were clearly talking about Malaysians, and I'm willing to accept that different cultures just have their own idiosyncrasies but when you try to bull**** about the fact that you were speaking about them specifically then it makes you look guilty of more than just observation.

Frownland already mentioned that his conclusion isn't based solely on this one comment, that it's based on a consistency of comments like this but people just ignored it.

* Where does Adidas call a bilingual person half-literate for speaking broken English? Not anywhere in the original statement. He called both half-literate with literally no reasoning behind. Might be for any number of reasons. One possible good reason being that they both make daft, cheesy music that don't exactly make either of them seem like Einstein. But they're black, and suddenly it's for sure race related. Somehow.

* So you can't say his statement is racist (my contention), but you're saying you can (which I still disagree with.) He's racist // his statement is racist - neither follow logically from his original comment. You say it does, I say that's bull****.

Edit: You have to be really naive to not see the connection with the original statement, but him blatantly saying it here justifies our assumptions to the point that maybe you should concede that perhaps we understand something that you just don't yet.

****ing hell.

Maybe you should have quoted that comment several pages ago and we didn't have to go through all this. I keep referring to the original comment and you write your comments based off something from a multi step comment on page 3 that I never even saw.

But I'm curious. If a white Swedish guy moves to the US, becomes a rapper, then starts a Twitter feud with another white Swedish rapper who moved to the states from Sweden. Then Addidas calls them illiterate. Problematic or is it only when brown people are involved? Not saying it's equivalent at all, I'm just curious about what the specific reasoning would be, for why it's not the same.

No, I basically assumed prior to him confirming my assumptions.

And what else are forums here for other than wasting all of our precious and limited time on this earth?

And I respect that he wasn't making that up but I simply don't remember those comments. I was neutral until that comment I'm referencing. Seemed like textbook wishy washy guilty conscience ****.
