Same thing for me at first. But after a while they grew on me. Particularly the Maximum Perversion album.

The Aggrolites are one of the only newer ska bands that Ive found to be good. I guess they could be considered reggae, but they seem more ska to me

The Aggrolites are quite solid. Dirty Reggae is a decent album. Give the Aggronauts a listen if you get the chance.

****, I love the Toasters. Enemy of the System's not a bad album at all.

I'm trying to get more into ska, but right now, I'm mostly just listening to Catch 22 and The Specials.
And a little older stuff, like The Skatalites.

My friend's been trying to force the Aquabats more on me lately, and I can't really decide whether I like them that much or not. They're kind of stupid, in a funny way.

The Aquabats are bloody awful and not a good barometer for quality Ska by a long shot.

Ha the Aquabats are all Mormon. I know this doesn't really matter but since I live in Utah it made me laugh.

No it doesn't really matter. Sub par music will always be sub par music whoever plays it.
