Do you think Bob is the best reggae artist ever? I think it would be hard to dispute this, but it's possible. I know people that don't think he is. Personally, he's my favorite reggae artist, but I also like Anthony B and Sizzla. However, neither artist has made so many amazing songs like Bob has.

The Whalers came to concert in my town, but I didn't go. I don't think they're the same without Bob Marley.

you would have to understand what him and his music stood for to really see where hes comin from. his music represents an opressed ppl. i mean it probably wouldnt be as easy to relate as americans, but he did alot for the jamaican struggle thru his music. and is one of the greatest musical talents to ever live. ppl tried to kill him because of what he was doin. they shot him but he didnt die. the bullet went in his arm and he never got it taken out because if he did he wouldnt be ablt to play his guitar anymore (or somethin along those lines) but yea he sold out concerts in africa (come on now...africa) they had to make it a two day event because they couldnt fit all the ppl that wanted to go in the venue the first day. so you know his music had to be doin somethin for somebody.

Slightly pointless then saying that!!

Bob Marley, like him or not, was (and still is) one of the greatest musician/singer/lyricists in the world, simply because he came from the heart and soul of what he believed in everything he did. I personally don't agree with a fair bit of what Rasta is about although the fundamentals of the movement are admirable, but either way I love Bob Marley's music and repsect him to the max for being true to himself and reflecting it in his sound.
