Default Lucky Dube

May he rest in peace...the South African Reggae legend died last week in a car-jacking...

Been listening to some of his stuff...Trinity is a good one.

Anyone else into him?

I hate to confess that I have never heard of him. I will do some digging.

I heard about that. He was shot in front of his kids too.
Apparently a big star in his home country.

Mph...yes...

Being South African I wasn't terribly surprised that it was the result of a car-jacking...pretty common back home, but I was still a little heart-broken...my older brother was listening to him when I was yea high...

I would love to hear more cool music from your neck of the woods. I love finding new music.

LOL...should we start a South African Music thread...I love telling people about this stuff...there is a bunch of SA Music out there...

Google the following:

Johnny Clegg
Springbok Nude Girls
Ladysmith Black Mambazo
Paul Simon's Graceland album

And let me know what interests you....these are just the beginning...I have some great compilations of township jazz, etc too...
