After the huge disappointment of 2009's Bush Rock. 10ft are back with Shake Up The Place.

Very different from the bands earlier organic Dub sounds, I am curiously enjoying this album.

For a mostly instrumental band the use of vocals on most tracks is a bold step and the flirtation with RockSteady, Roots Reggae and the tip of the cap to Lovers Rock could be seen as a sell out but the album still defers to the roots and not commercialism.

Album opener:

I'm loving this thread!! 10ft Ganja Plant is an incredible roots reggae band....check their classic jam 'New Day' for one of the best modern dubwise tunes you'll hear. Dubmatix, Noiseshaper, Boozoo Bajou and The Black Seeds are also excellent as well.
