I was originally attracted to their bright album covers in the record store, but was then turned off by the fact that on the cover were grown men in spandex, dressed as "superheros". Maybe one day I'll buy one of their records...

I used to be on the Aquabats forum along time ago. If anyone called them ska the ska ellitists on the board would all flame that person to death.

And the newest album Charge!! is complete crap. Buy their music chronologicaly.

I saw the aquabats a few years back in chicago. The only reason I went was to see the Aggrolites who were opening. I have to say though, The Aquabats put on a great show and are hilarious guys.

I was heavy into the Aquabats when I was a Freshman/Sophomore in high school, but I just sort of stopped listening as I got into different bands. And Charge! pretty much sucked. They're still a lot of fun for the occasional pick-me-up, and I like how cartoony they are. They're just not for me so much these days.
