Default RIP Junior Murvin

Another legend passes on. Reggae singer Junior Murvin, best known for the 1976 hit song Police and Thieves, has died in Jamaica aged 67.

Sorry to hear about Junior's death. He was one of the few original roots rockers that was still around. The Jamaica Observer reported that Murvin was admitted to hospital last week for diabetes and hypertension.

Police and Thieves, a song that outlined the police brutality and social unrest of the time, became synonymous with the riots of Notting Hill carnival in the year that it was released.

Yep another Rastafarian jedi passes on into lore... there are too few of them around in general. He'll be missed.
