Default Vinyl!!

Any of you people collect Vinyl. Put it in the Metal section cuz 99% of my collection on vinyl is Metal. I like all sorts of music but yeah. I'm now up to 600 records But been collecting them for over 20 yrs. This weekend picked up Death - Leprosy, Obituary - End Complete and Hypocrisy - The Final Chapter on vinyl.

Hey its great to see a new metal-head on here, there is not that many of us on here, but those that are, are all pretty obssessed with metal. Most are into extreme metal sub-genres and only listen to that, but others listen to all types of metal. So the bands you`ve mentioned are well known on here, all three albums you`ve mentioned above are great especially that Death album, but the best Obituary album is Cause of Death.

I`ve got quite a large vinyl collection but not as big as yours, but most of it is not metal (nearly all my metal stuff is on cd) I only converted to metal several years ago and since then have become pretty much obssessed with it.

check out this thread, a great place to discover a lot of new metal albums on here, unless you know them all already

Yeah I get CDs as well but something about vinyl with the artwork etc that is just amazing!! To be honest some I just put in record frames and hang em up. First thing people see when they come in my home is a framed Motorhead - Bastards album haha

Well... I am willing to answer your question but I have to add that perhaps 3 or 4 percent of my records are metal records.

Still, when you ask me if I collect vinyl, the best answer I could possibly give to you is:

Yes, you could say so.

Haha, I even decided not to put a painting on the wall, but use record sleeves for decoration:

Total and utter vinyl nutter becuase my ears tell me so.

There's a link to my collection below all of my postings .
My metal vinyl mainly consists of Maiden, Dio and Dream Theater

Haha, 1200 and counting.
Collecting is getting pretty hard and costly once you're past 750 or something.

You got some nice albums on your wall. Nashville skyline, revolver, and Attack and realease. And A very nice collection on your shelves. I'm not even old enough to be collecting for 20 years haha. I just started collecting a little under a year ago. I guess I'm one of the young collectors

I haven't been collecting for 20 years.
Started my current collection back in 2000.
I remember my first five records.
ELO's "A New World Record" (funny one to start with)
Spandau Ballet's "True" (ditched that one by now )
Dire Straits' "Dire Straits"
Dire Straits' "Brothers in Arms" (Has been replaced by a 180g record now, the original is with my ex girlfriend)
Joe Cocker's "Unchain my heart" (Ditched that one too ).

If i had kept every record I ever owned I'd probably have 15000 records now. But I'm picky. So I didn't.
