i feel that hours is pretty rubbish, comapred to casually dressed and 7 ways to scream your name. ive seen em live and the were a bitt disapointing but they put on a good show, but played mainly newer tracks and im not too keen on em, my fav. tracks are you want romance, this years most open heatbreak, she drove me to daytime tv(which they played) and the art of american football.

ArtistInTheAmbulance 12-08-2005 11:42 AM

This Years Most Open Heartbreak.. Love it but needs to be longer. Always annoys me when the songs over before even three minutes is up, or something stupid like that.
Kiss And Make Up
10:45 Amsterdam Conversations
Novella
Juneau (cliche choice but brilliant)

I dont really see the appeal in Hours. Lacks passion.

GoodbyeBlueSky 12-09-2005 01:04 AM

I have their cd "Casually Dressed And Deep in Conversation" Its pretty good, but I must admit I dont listen to it much anymore. I HATE their new stuff...I dunno, Im kinda outta that whole phase of that type of music, although I do like SOME bands from that genre.

Deliverance 12-10-2005 11:05 AM

Hmmm I got bored of FFAF. I like some songs still, but I dunno, alot of it is just samey. Saw them once live and they played well though, great wit the crowd too.
I liked Finch also, their old album I found better and more melodic than the new one, though less dynamic.

holdfasthope 12-10-2005 07:38 PM

hmm, I really like the new album, i like it when a band takes a risk, and i feel they pulled it off. my favourite song overal though is Juneau. followed by escape artists.

ArtistInTheAmbulance 12-11-2005 11:36 AM

I didnt see it as taking a risk. It was basically playing mediocre songs that can be heard everywhere today, not much of a risk... But then Im just anti-Hours in general, dont mind me..

MyFavouriteAccident 12-13-2005 12:53 AM

great band, "casually dressed and deep in conversation" was great, yet "hours" was a biiig dissapointment...agreed

explosions-in-my-pants 03-04-2006 12:51 PM

I like this band so much.. its the perfect score of screaming and singing.. all fits completely. and the songs are really amazing..

i have this thing where i listen to this band off and on.. and everytime i listen to them its like the first time.. my favorite album by them is Hours. i think there new album rules.. to me this band is rare and only seems to be getting better and better as time goes on.. i may have lost finch but i love this band more.. so its ok... they better not go anywhere. haha..

They lost even more and more of their soul with each new release. :(

With the way things are going, they wont last much longer, and I wont be sorry to see it end. Cant stand seeing good bands get worse and worse...

explosions-in-my-pants 03-04-2006 01:29 PM

haha me and you really aren't agreeing much are we hahaha!

ArtistInTheAmbulance 03-04-2006 01:33 PM

Ah its all good. I just know that I'd rather listen to 7 Ways than Hours [which Ive listened to about 3 times total] . . .

sleepy jack 03-04-2006 01:39 PM

sleepy jack 03-04-2006 01:56 PM

"Between Order And Models" (2002)
1. 10:45 Amsterdam Conversation
2. Juno
3. Red Is The New Black
4. The Art Of American Football

ArtistInTheAmbulance 03-04-2006 01:57 PM

Oh.
Thats lame.
I have all those.

POINTLESS TO RE-RELEASE.

explosions-in-my-pants 03-04-2006 02:02 PM

i do believe lots of bands do that.. but yea i can see the lack of point in gettting the EP when you already have the songs on another EP or album haha..funny. but i guess if you like to have it all as is then why not haha..
