Funeral For A Friend

I just picked up their new CD today, "Seven Ways To Scream Your Name," it is awesome...this is one of my favorite screamo bands. I would suggest Bullet Theory, red is the new black, and the art of american football.

Pimp_racer 05-31-2004 07:38 PM

yes yes i love them i would suggest listenin to this years most open heartbreak....they are a great band

ally 06-01-2004 04:28 PM

yea i started listening to them recently, they are a great band. my favorite might be the art of american football.

Pimp_racer 06-01-2004 06:56 PM

i really like the gutair at the beggining of the getaway plan

AutumnWinds 06-02-2004 08:10 AM

yea there a great band! the new album lacks a bit tho, seven ways is better

adrenalize 06-15-2004 08:18 PM

Is "Casually Dressed and Deep In Conversation" out in the us yet?

But yeah, seriously great band. Personally id Reccomend "Storytelling" and "Your revoloution is a joke"

Iheartmintaeros 06-16-2004 08:51 AM

I think they're one of the best Emo bands we've got if not THE best over here in the UK!

Even if they are welsh ... lol

sugarcultgrrl 06-16-2004 01:06 PM

damn yeah, what a band! We wanted to come to the UK (from belgium) when they were playing with million dead but then they came to holland with the lostprophets... what a show!

Thrice 06-16-2004 04:41 PM

They must be really popular over there. I asked a few people over here about them, and no one knew who i was speaking of.

felix 08-05-2004 01:29 AM

They're incredible. I picked up Seven Ways To Scream You Name and Casually Dressed and Deep In Conversation 2 weeks ago they were on sale 2 for $25 dollars (which was a nice change from the 18-29 dollars those bastards at HMV usually charge). Sorry, needed to get that out:) I'd heard a few of thier songs on word from a buddy of mine. But after listening to all their stuff I'd honestly put them in my top 5 bands at the moment. Awesome

covle 08-05-2004 01:32 AM

they're fairly popular down in aus too. Seven Ways To Scream Your Name is an awsome cd

They're getting there. Really nice set of lads too, really down to earth, enjoy having a little banter with a crowd at a show. Went to see them just after Seven Ways was released when they played a tiny, tiny venue in Birmingham, and they were absolutely stunning. Then they bought out 'Casually Dressed' and things just took off for them. They played Reading festival last year, which is the premier rock festival in the U.K. and although they were in one of the larger tents, it was still packed out twenty minutes before they came onstage.

Some other great bands of their type around at the moment are:

X is Loaded, Reuben, Million Dead, Yourcodenameis:Milo and the best band in British rock right now, Hundred Reasons. Anyone who likes Funeral For a Friend will like these bands, I'd stake my reputation on it.

Thrice 08-12-2004 09:19 PM

My ex-girlfriend said she heard em on the radio here in FL?

franscar 08-13-2004 11:43 AM

As far as I know they are out trying to crack the US market, so it's more than possible. Good luck trying to understand them, they're VERY, VERY Welsh.

...Well in my goal to ruin your reputation (jk) I searched through some local music stores, and online and could not find any songs. Know anywhere the music could be found? Online since you probably wouldn't know stores over here.

franscar 08-14-2004 06:39 AM

Hundred Reasons up until recently were signed to Columbia, who for some reason had decided not to release either of their albums in the U.S. They're both available on amazon but the price is pretty expensive. I'd pay it because I know I love them, but I think it'd put people off who've never heard them before.

There were a few tracks floating around on winmx last time I checked, probably because more users from the UK were on.

You can hear a few tracks of theirs at www.hundredreasons.com

irKetchup 11-30-2004 07:04 PM

I agree, I bought the cd and attended their show not too long ago, actually I tihnk it was last week... They came with Taking Back Sunday and Atreyu. Good show.

IamAlejo 12-01-2004 12:10 PM

That's the same tour that came to Va Beach a couple weeks ago, except for instead of Taking Back Sunday...Nora came. And Nora rocked the **** out that place harder than Atreyu or F4AF. Still a good show though.

irKetchup 12-01-2004 02:47 PM

Aw.. Nora? Poo, I would of loved it.

emokid90 12-06-2004 10:15 AM

FFAF are amazin! I luv Bend your arms to look like wings and Juneau, but all their songs r gr8!!!

ArtistInTheAmbulance 12-06-2004 10:41 AM

They are amazing live, matt really has got a great voice. They did Your Revolution Is A Joke (listen to this song) and basically everyone was crying!

Sorry, pretty pointless input, I just thought I'd add something...
