Metallica VS. Iron Maiden (Preference) (tickets, albums, Polish, quote)

It has to be Metallica. I mean I love Iron Maiden, but if someone offered me a Metallica ticket or a Maiden, then Metallica hands down

I think that Metallica's older music is better than Maiden- although I'm a huge maiden fan - but Maiden are probably better live.
If Cliff and Mustaine were still in Metallica however, I'd definitely choose Tallica.
Either way, both bands are amazing.
It's kind of hard comparing two different genres of metal anyway.

I think the genres while technically different, are close enough for an accurate comparison. They have similar qualities, and the differences only mean you have to tell which band excells more in their particular field.

I would have seen Maiden at Ozzfest, but Ozzy is a total douche bag ***got, and kept rescheduling, and eventually canceling the show we had tickets for, and then of course had that whole fiasco with how they treated Maiden.

Yeah, the way they treated Maiden was pathetic. Sorry to hear about the show you were going to being cancelled. maybe you'll get the chance to see them late 06/ early 07. I'm going to see them this December.
