Metallica VS. Iron Maiden (Preference) (house, genre, albums, quote)

Im sure it's been said, so im not ****in going into old-school/ new-school Metallica. I'll keep my mouth shut and just go with Iron Maiden.

Metallica are excellent live I have to say, they really surprised when I went to see them a couple of months ago. They are still great after all these years live but Iron Maiden are not!

You must be kidding... Iron Maiden is great in both albums and live performances after all these years.

Iron Maiden is renowned for being an awesome live band. In fact most people place Iron Maiden's Live After Death as one of the greatest live albums ever, along with Thin Lizzy's Live and Dangerous, Deep Purple's Made in Japan and the Allman Brothers' At Fillmore East.

And even then Maiden fans argue over which live Maiden album is the best.

Oh I agree Iron Maiden were good live but im not convinced any more

Live albums are no barometer, when you have someone editing and polishing, you cna't garuntee that a band did all the work. I've seen Metallica live, trust me, their the greatest live band I've ever seen and I'll only give the stones headway above them (who i'm going to see this year by the way).

I agree with you Metallica are fantastic live, let us know what the stones are like I believe they are brilliant live. They havent played here for a very long time would like to see them back!

I just got into Iron Maiden probably about a couple months ago, and I have liked Metallica alot longer, so i'll go with Metallica for my vote.

Iron Maiden owns Metallica's ass!! Metallica is highly overrated and Maiden is never referred to at all. But as most said these are two different genres of Metal. I like NWOBM more than Metaallica's speed. Bruce, Blaze, and Paul all have better voices than James.
