Soundgarden

I miss the band soundgarden they really had their own sound and rocked

pretty hard.. I have wondered what kim the guitar player is up to today.

I respect Chris he has alot of talent, and i like audioslave but they

don't really compare to soundgarden..

Chronic 11-22-2005 10:24 AM

I like Soundgarden. Have Superunknown & Bad Motorfinger.

Fav Song is Rusty Cage :)

one_more_atrocity 11-23-2005 08:15 AM

i like quite alot of soundgarden but i wasnt really into the music when they were in there prime so its hard to get in to the music.

MoonlitSunshine 07-03-2006 05:54 PM

Soundgarden?

Soundgarden, anyone? or am I alone in this Forum?

I do hope not, they're one of my favourite bands!

_Spinning_ 07-03-2006 05:59 PM

I enhoy SoudGarden.
Outshined would be my favorite song.

sleepy jack 07-03-2006 06:08 PM

..Are they the grunge band i'm thinking of or some hip new indie act with the same name?

Merkaba 07-03-2006 06:13 PM

Grunge since most indie bands come up with stranger names.

And I love Soundgarden in short bursts.

MoonlitSunshine 07-03-2006 06:21 PM

Yeah, I don't have UltraMega OK which is annoying cause it's the only one I Don't have, and I think I like the stuff that's on it.

As for My favourite of their songs, I would have to say Mind Riot or 4th of July.

Frances 07-04-2006 12:42 AM

Soundgarden are great, I still like Badmotorfinger the best.

MURDER JUNKIE 07-04-2006 12:47 AM

Horribly overrated and the worst live band I have ever seen. Chris Cornell's singing gives me the urge to manually amputate my ears

canthardlystand 07-04-2006 01:16 AM

i think soundgarden kicks ass. jesus christ pose and fell on black days are some of their best songs ever..l

swim 07-04-2006 06:41 AM

The first 3 albums kick ass and are extremely underrated but, after that they go suck.

boo boo 07-04-2006 09:44 AM

Actually Superunknown is my favorite.

Urban Hat€monger ? 07-04-2006 11:08 AM

One of those bands that were just totally average.

I didn`t love them , I didn`t hate them either .They were just sort of there really.

I have all their albums but one gathering dust somewhere that have not been touched in about 10 years.

Mine too and it's the only one I really liked.

Kripes 07-04-2006 11:53 AM

Meh, I used to be into Soundgarden, but right now I think most of their music is rather bland.

crow t robot 07-04-2006 11:58 AM

I like soundgarden...superunknown is a great album

itchytasty 07-19-2006 08:27 AM

Superunknown is my favorite. Mostly because of 4th of July.

Great song.

Yep I easily prefered this to Badmotorfinger, it just sounded more complete than BMF. Infact it is probably my favourite too, though I do enjoy Louder Than Love.

thehelp 07-20-2006 03:02 AM

Garden Of Stone

I was more of an early Pearl Jam fan.

Soundgarden was okay. Black Hole Un was pretty much the only song I like, but their may be two others.

They are supremely gifted, so don't take me wrong, it's just that I didn't even dig Nirvana until after In Utero.

burnitdown 10-20-2006 08:45 PM

Great band. I prefer Audioslave though. Tom Morello and Chris Cornell mix well together. Isn't Chris working on a solo project now?

MoonlitSunshine 10-22-2006 05:45 AM

No idea. First I've heard of it!

one_more_atrocity 10-26-2006 09:47 AM

like this band alot, i mostly listen to their earlier stuff, i think that their new stuff could be better.

Whirlwind Disaster 10-26-2006 09:54 AM

soundgarden... :banghead:

MoonlitSunshine 10-26-2006 11:44 AM

Ehy, Soundgarden are Great! What of their stuff have you heard?

_Spinning_ 10-26-2006 03:54 PM

Soundgarden >>>> Audioslave.

Just for future reference.

Urban Hat€monger ? 10-26-2006 03:55 PM

Me farting Rule Britannia >>>>>>>>>>>> Audioslave

MoonlitSunshine 10-26-2006 04:14 PM

ahhh, they're not THAT bad.. They do have some great songs, but soundgarden are way better.

Unless you have Tom Morello in your ass, I can't see this statement reigning true.

However, should Tom leave the band, that would be correct.

[MERIT] 10-26-2006 04:38 PM

Soundgarden was a great band. My favorite song of theirs is probably 'blow up the outside'. im not real big on audioslave b/c i never really got on the RATM bandwagon, but anything with Chris Cornell is worth listening to (for the most part).

badmotorfinger and superunknown. i didnt bother listening to down on the upside because i didnt want to be tortured further, i hate chris cornells voice.

Merkaba 10-26-2006 06:28 PM

^ I've come to that conclusion recently too. I used to like it but it's gotten worse with every new song he does, which trickles down to me not even enjoying his early work as much.

And I think Audioslave S/T was just as good as most of Soundgardens work, though I prefer Louder than Love and Superunknown.
But it's with Audioslaves last two albums that they've really sucked. I know Tom is all for soul, but Chris doesn't do soul, Chris hasn't moved on from his 90's Seattle days. He's tried that softer approach on the last two albums but it's worse, and the biggest crime of all is that he drowns out the music when he sings.

SoundGarden were cool though, but I never bothered with Down on the Upside and A-Sides, they sounded shit.

Whirlwind Disaster 10-26-2006 06:34 PM

i pretty much hate all grunge after its early incarnations anyway so soundgarden never had much hope.

how can you hate chris cornell's voice? the man can sing like a mofo.

Whirlwind Disaster 10-27-2006 07:48 AM

i dont know, i just do. Seems so strained and forced. It just annoys me so much. He sounds like a bull in mid-castration.

MoonlitSunshine 10-27-2006 10:12 AM

I take it other people her have heard Ultramega OK? I think it sounds really different to their other stuff.

Yeah I have.

In fact it`s about the only Soundgarden album I can tolerate these days

NaNaNer 12-26-2006 12:12 PM

I was introduced to Soundgarden right after I was introduced to Nirvana...I against odds..argued that Soundgarden was far better then Nirvana..and still think that way...I like Nirvana but there is more depth to Soundgarden.

The Unfan 12-26-2006 12:16 PM

I like them. I don't really have a favorite album as they all sound pretty different from each other.

gottaSCREM 12-30-2006 10:05 PM

If you like Soundgraden listen to Temple Of The Dog. Chris id the vocalist with members of Mother Love Bone or Pearl Jam for those that aren't so smart at Grunge basics
