Your opinion sucks. Therefore, you do.

Anyway, I don't think Danny Carey is a phenomenal drummer at all. People are just enamored by the whole time signature thing. Any rhythmically inclined person will see the simplicity in the maths behind his drumming. The allure is in the obscurity of it. Nothing more.

I'm not saying he's a bad drummer. I am saying, however, that drumming isn't, nor should it be, judged by some textbook declaration in comparison to a statistical norm.

I know this is a little off topic, but is there any news on Tool writing or recording a new album anytime soon? The wikipedia stub is annoyingly ambiguous stating that "they will be entering the studio in the near future" or something to that effect. I'm pretty sure they played Big Day Out this year if that means anything. I was just wondering if you guys knew anything or not.

2006: 10,000 Days

2011: I expect one.

Sure Opiate and Undertow don't work in this plus 5 pattern, but since Aenima, so far so good...

I have a feeling it will be 2012 before anything comes out.
