Well you think wrong, terribly, terribly, terribly wrong. In this thread I've named who I believe to be among the best at each instrument - yes, boo boo, I've heard all the musicans you listed, it's not that far fetched is it?

You just like waving all your prog at me 'cause it's your pride and joy. I edited my previous post severely btw.

Most of the musicians i mentioned arent associated with prog.

Well I excluded Gadd, etc we're only talkin rock here. The wave prog thing at me was a different unrelated point anyway

Only some of those musicians were Jazz...Mostly stuck with rock.

All the keyboardists i mentioned are rock keyboardists.

Alright, to tell you the truth I didn't know of most of their histories so I quickly looked them up and I found out something bizarre; none of them went to the Juilliard School of Music at nine years old and were identified as a prodigy! But yeah, if someone did that and had professional classical training at that age, they'd have to be like a God at the keys or something. I wonder if Rudess fits that bill...

lol. Right so if you play with Yes that automatically makes you better than an elite prodigy. I know you were joking but whatever.

The only non-lols are Emerson and Wakeman. Both are extremely skilled, obviously, but.....
lol. Sorry but come on!! Rudess could ****ing play in a ****in piano ****ing concerto if he wanted to. In fact that was what he was initially set out to do! Well I know Wakeman's a classically trained pianist but he'd be totally lost in a concerto.

No he wouldnt, he would pull it off better than Rudess would, i garantee it.

Emerson has proven that he could do it firsthand...And i was serious about Yes, their musicians are always top of the line.

And being educated in theory dosent automaticly make you a good musician or a very skilled one at that.

Some of the best musicians around cant even read sheet music...Music is a universial thing, its not limited to just a bunch of notes on a sheet of paper.
