Rock, Punk, or Metal?
 

Which of the three do you like best?
I like all three...it really depends on the band and what mood I'm in.
As of right now, I'd say Rock. But last night driving home, it was Metal.
Earlier today, when I was going snowboarding, I was really feelin' punk. ;)
It's pretty well rounded actually.

Screamo....basically rock

punk rock, rocks ...there is no better way to explain it...

My favorite is classic rock and that's also what I know most about.

i only hear rock a lot out of those 3 so it gets my vote

most of my moods are pretty punk rock.....but i can settle down for some songs...truly depends on what mood I'm in. If my lady is gettin me mad then I go for a punk rock type of song. If she is happy then I go for something more laid back.

If my parents are being *******s then I usually get into some LOUD metal... :P

well i like punk and metal the most, mainly punk, but if im feeling particularly distructive i will listen to some metal and go light stuff on fire

Hang on - punk and metal are types of rock music!! rock music is a general description of music involving a band which writes its own music! punk, metal, indie, classic rock, are all rock music!!!!

Maybe metal and punk are based on rock or something, but I can see a clear line between ACDC, KoRn, and NOFX.

definitely depends on my mood, and yea, even tho punk and metal are types of rock music, you can still place all three of them in separate, distinct categories

its all bout melodic metal. hardcore with a hint of emotional rock

metal when im pissed and what not.. punk rock when i wanna be in a good, jumpy mood... emo/screamo/hardcore all the other times.

hmmm, I lean towards Metal-core so Metal i guess. Although I don't mind some punk and alt. rock. But Metal and Hardcore and Scremo are the best genres.

screamo NOT being thrice, story of the year, from autumn to ashes, falloutboy etc..

screamo being emo violence and older emo. The Kodan Armada, The 1985, Anasarca, Van Johnson, indian summer..

Scremo being what I want it to mean. I like old FATA, Thrice, TBS, Silverstein, UnderOATH, Indian Summer. Haven't heard of the rest but I'll check 'em out

how can you compare underoath to indian summer?

Classic rock like led zeppelin and the stones rules. punk rock is rubbish except the clash..who were awesome. metal is ok, not my favourite tho

I enjoy all styles of music, it depends on the artist not the genre. My heart is in punk, but my roots are in metal.

I have to say metal..i like death metal the best... and Gothic rock its the best

Sex pistols the clash sure there alright ,but overall punk sucks none of them can play there insterments or write lyrics. I like Classic Rock and Classic Metal.

punk, rock, metal it doesnt matter to me. i judge the bands not the genres. as im sure most people here do also, but i couldnt distinguish a favourite between punk and metal

80's rock/metal is my fav... dont mind punk tho it goes alrite...sex pistols kick arse

i quite honestly prefer the Seattle grunge bands. All the grunge bands influences are punk, rock, and metal, so its like a package deal. If u want more of a punk grunge band(s) then listen to Nirvana, or Mudhoney. If u want more of a metal-grunge band then listen to the Melvins or Alice in Chains. If u want more of a rock grunge band then listen to Soundgarden or Pearl Jam. Grunge is like a smorgisboard of those genres.
