I think Audioslave have the potential to be a great rock band. Maybe not gods, but just a great band. though their second album wasn't as good as their first...

if you don't think the Hammet/Hetfeild combo is on par with Richards/Jagger or Page/Plant, then I don't want to talk to you (if your posting here I probably didn't want to anyway)

And I think Homme is about 2 good albums away from RG staus.
i never said anything about not liking metallica. and i never said that they werent rock gods either..

what i said was that they are too old to be "future" rock gods.

and about homme......well. i like qotsa ok, but honestly when i saw them perform, homme really isnt that great of a guitar player.

I've had issues with that man since that terrible "solo" in Little Sister. What a crappy way to end a song... Im sure he could have done so much better, but its the fact that he didnt..

thats one of the songs that just proves to me that his musical skills are not what they are cracked up to be.

I disagree and hey silence, when I said "forget what duck says" I mean mosesandtherubberducky. Are you duel accounting their cheif?

Anywho, alot of great musicians play with homme, and granted alot of good musicians play with crappy crappy pop singers too, but for someone who has no real amount of fan as homme, I think they play with him for the same reason (reason mind you) that they play with santana, because their good. One song does not a dud make.

I never said that I didn't like Metallica. I just said that they are a little old to be future rock gods.

Yea, Metalica is getting to old. Theier between like 40-50 years old. Now I have no problem with old people, but wince it is future rock gods i would have to agree with mosesandtherubberducky.
