If you have to make an effort to like it, its probably not that good.
That's horrible logic. If I only listened to artists that gave me no challenges whatsoever I would be missing out on most of the music I listen to today. If I wasn't so nice I would have to call you an idiot.

I find that most bands that are easy get into lose their charm after awhile too, but some people like a challenge when looking for music and some don't so please chill out Ashley.

I dig them. Saw them in Brooklyn on 8/7... they played there biggest show to date and kicked ass.

its not really logic but opinion. and backhanded insults are insults nonetheless.

why should an artist "challenge" you? music is meant to inspire mood (among other things). I don't need to like a band or study them to make myself feel more intelligent. i guess it just really doesn't matter to me. I don't have to go on for hours about useless garbage when I can throw on some MC5 and go lift weights or run.

Its not that I want to dislike music the first time I hear it, but if you can't be patient enough to sit down and actually listen to an album 4 or 5 times to really apperciate it, then that's too bad for you.

If I wanted to listen to artists I only liked because they were catchy I would just turn on the radio.

Music isn't meant to do anything.

okay, I got ya then. I know of some albums that I definitely could appreciate more after a third or fourth listen.

I'm saying that not everyone listens to music for the same reasons.

I think they rock, they do have a very classic/bluesy sound. about his voice, i think it makes the band! it fits the style. so original
