Good summation, though I probably rank 'em Nocturnal>Unhallowed>Miasma. Despite their pretty blatant At The Gates worship, they're still an awesome band.

For those looking for something similar, 8 Foot Sativa do the melo-death thing very well, too.

So does new Knight Of The Abyss. KOTA sounds almost exactly like TBDM. I like both though, but I can't get into The Black Dahlia as much.

Can I get a pm of anything they've done? I've only found dead links.

It seems everyone likes their newer stuff but I like their older stuff more. His vocals sound much more clear now and I guess that's alright.. they just sounded more aggressive in the Unhallowed album. As for the drums and guitar I definitely agree they're better in the newer albums

I've only heard a few songs, but from what I've heard, I really like them.

Also, If you like The Black Dahlia Murder, check out Wretched, a good metal band from where I live.

Found this on the net

Quote:
These guys are the most brutal band that I have ever listened to besides cannibal corpse, their lyrics are grotesque (see The Window or Closed Casket Requiem), their solos are epic, everything is VERY fast... This band is the very definition of death metal. If you like darker metal, then this band is the best death metal band currently, but I do not think that they should be branded as melo-death, because they have developed their own sound that doesn't fit into any 1 deathmetal subcategory.
I lold

Well I don't know about all that but Miasma is a decent album.

They're not my favorite band, but Nocturnal is cool. It's just funny seeing them referred to as "the very definition of death metal".
