Meh, hes really good, but his timing is rather sloppy, i wouldnt say hes among the most elite players in terms of technical ability.

I think he's very talented, but not necessarily the best. There are too many amazing guitarists to choose from. Do you not like his work in Cacophony?

The guy was a f*cking student in theory, hes a classicly trained musician and multi instrumentalist, other than guitar he plays violin, piano, organ, xylophone, synthesizer, harmonica, glockenspiel and the ondes martenot...He may not be your Steve Vai type virtuoso, but in terms of technical ability, hes more worthy of the poll than half of the guys you chose to include.

I prefer his solo stuff actualy, dont like Cacophony, musicianship is important, but i think songwriting is just as important, which i never see as one of Cacophonys strong points, thats just me though.

Im just saying his technique is far from perfect in skill terms.

Cobain was a very talented songwriter...Thats where his talent was present, rather than his guitar playing.

Hes a decent guitar player in my opinion, though in skill terms he wouldnt make the top 3000.

Hammett is sloppy as f*cking hell sometimes, and he has been known for excessive overuse of the wammy bar.
