Oh without a doubt, they're worth seeing if you're a fan. Just not the most charismatic live band, and they had some technical issues with the amps at the show I was at, which didn't help. But I'm glad I went, they were certainly better than Pelican live.

i saw Pelican about a year ago open For Sunn with Earth....i had never heard them although i had heard of them.....persoanlly i thought they were pretty good live (although i agree with you about the their audience) but really cannot get into their recorded stuff....honestly it could have just been because they played after Earth (whom i love live) and i had seen them perform basically the exact same set three times that month....although it was still great it was kind of nice to hear something somewhat upbeat in between such drone

i could see Jesu being somewhat boring live....i would be willing to bet the sets are long....still i would travel many miles to see a show

my list

1. Neurosis
2. Melvins
3. Justin Broadrick (esp. early Godflesh and Fall of Because)
4. Earth
5. Motörhead
6. Om
7. Nadja
8. Iron Maiden
9. Asunder
10. Ulver

i know a few of those are questionable as to whether they are "metal" or not

Why thank you.

I saw them live back in May. Probably the best night of my life.
