Impossible list. There are too many forms of metal to restrict myself to a list of 10 bands.

Yeah, that's the problem I found. 10 bands just isn't representative of my taste. I could make a top 10 of funeral doom if I wanted to. But my top 10 in metal isn't much indication of what subgenres I listen to.

Meh, I like only Metal (except for Deep Purple, they are Hard Rock), so I really don't know how to order the bands I like. However, I can say that my top 3 bands will always be Blind Guardian, Gamma Ray and Iron Maiden. Beyond that, any band can come at any place.

NOTE: I do consider Danzig metal, his stuff is to dark and hard not to be!
