Your Top 10 METAL Bands

They are good bands. But Metallica lost their musical ability after ...And Justice For All. And August Burns red doesn't compare to many major metal bands at all. Actually I'm pretty sure it doesn't even compare to low life metal bands like Suicide Silence

Hey, give the guy a break! Let him hang around here a while and watch that list change radically as more and more posters point him in the direction of new and interesting music.... that's the joy of these kinds of places, after all!

Burzum is on my top 10 because Varg Vikernes is a musical genius. I didn't do my list like everyone else here. I looked at my favorites of each genre and put them in order, to show a better view of my musical taste. Burzum is by far the greatest Norwegian Black Metal Band. If I were to write a list not considering other genre's it would look like this...

1. Megadeth
2. Slayer
3. Anthrax
4. Helloween
5. Queensryche
6. Blue Oyster Cult
7. Amon Amarth
8. Black Sabbath
9. Spooky Tooth(A new addition to my list thanks to Certif1ed)
10. Mercyful Fate

Power metal is closer to metal in the traditional sense than black or death metal. By that token Burzum isn't a real metal band if anything.
