I realize that this is an ancient thread, but I'm posting about the current Maryland Deathfest. I looked at last year's lineup, and it was amazing, but this year's is mind blowing. I just have to go. End of discussion. These are just some of the bands that will be there:

Bolt Thrower
Ufommamut
Benediction
Convulse
Mother****ing CARCASS!!!
Pig Destroyer
Rotten Sound
Down
The Melvins
Sleep (WTF?!)
Infest
Exodus (I missed my chance to see them years ago, but not this time!)
Glorior Belli
Manilla Road
Pagan Altar
Pentagram
Venom (Dies out of sheer joy)

And even HHBH would be happy with:

Revenge
Midnight
Repulsion

Seriously, there are people on this forum that I would send letter bombs to to see this festival.

This festival is quickly becoming the best of the year annually. Airfare alone wouldn't make it practical, but everyone on the East Coast should make the long drive if possible.
