I like how they are a concept band. Brownie points for unfathomable pretentiousness.

And its a good concept too. Two star crossed-lovers take a vow to kill their children so their genes do not escape into the world.

2113 is the most awesome-tastic song ever, especially the random pirate-riff about 6 minutes into it.

For starters, I recommend The Lying Lies and Dirty Secrets of Miss Erica Court, Welcome Home, Gravemakers & Gunslingers, No World For Tomorrow, Ten Speed (Of God's Blood & Burial), Time Consumer, and 2113.

I love the song The Devil in Jersy City and The Suffering. You should really get No world for tomorrow.
full title is:
Good Apollo Im burning star VI: vol.2 No World for Tomorrow.

it's a great album I like feathers, and Radio bye bye.
I really want the second stage turbine blade and in keeping secrests of silent eatrth 3 but I dont know where to find them.

Really? I thought they blew the other acts out of the water.
The improv solo in 'In Keeping Secrets' was the shiz man.
While I was there I bought one of the comics that the lyrics are based off of...gotta say, wasn't overjoyed with it.

Anyway I played No World for Tomorrow to death, so next I think I'm get familiar with either 'Second Stage Turbine Blade' or 'In Keeping Secrets...'

i have never heard one single thing by this band. Is that good or bad?

Freebase Dali 03-14-2009 06:55 PM

Jackhammer,
I can dig some of their recorded stuff...
I guess I used that to compare against their live show.
I know most bands sound better because of studio magic, but their live show really didn't move me at all.

Could be personal preference.
Dunno...
