My experience to becoming a rocker
First off I would like to thank all the administrators and moderators who have made this website.
Now, when I was like 5 or 6 years old I had stumbled onto something that I couldn't believe, it was "Rock music." I could hardly believe how good it sounded when I put the headphones up to my ears. Once I started growing about 2 years I watched a music video and I noticed it was the same kind of rock music that I was into but there was only one problem, I saw that everybody had long hair (preferrably down to their necks), so I thought, "Hey maybe I should grow my hair out like those guys." It took me a couple years but here's a small scale on how well I have progressed in growing my hair out. 8 years old- over my ears. 9 years old- still a little bit over my ears. 10 11 and 12 - almost reached my neck. 13 years old- finally down to my neck. I thought about it when I turned fourteen and I thought of making my own band and guess what...I did. Than I found out that bands need the right equipment which brought me upto another problem, the money issue. I thought about it and I said heck with it maybe I should spend all the money I have on instruments and equipment for my band. Than I started to think about what my life will be like in another 20-25 years. Than I broke up with my band and we have not talked since the break up (due to money problems) Than now I figured that maybe I should just be an alone rocker because I have a very strange taste in rock music so I just thought about just being my own self. Here is the best part, I finally save up enough money to get my band back together but than I see a drumset in the window of a mall. I thought "Hmmm maybe I should buy it I mean I have the money but..." Than of course I bought it. Ever since I became a rocker, rock music has been mostly my life and I don't know what I would do without it. Rock music changed my whole life. Any comments on my experience would be highly appreciated because I would love to hear what you guys think about my experience. |
Uh... are you an idiot?

"rocking" isnt all about long hair and stardom. to be a respected musician, you have to be somewhat skilled at what you do. and...let me get this straight, you bought all the instruments for this band? didnt the people in your band have their own instruments? and you seem like youre rather young...i doubt you could purchase a decent drumset. what are you playing? first act instruments? your story really tells us nothing about how you became a "rocker". it more accurately describes how you took on the image of a young james hettfield and started a band of people who dont even play an instrument. so...again i ask, got any music we can listen to? and what about my other questions? |
I like how he calls himself and rocker...yet listens to HIM...
|
Since when do you need to be a musician to be a rocker.
Next Week.... You have to be a chef to enjoy food |
You sound like so many little mini-wannabe losers around my way.
I want to kick each of them in the face, repeatedly. |
H.I.M: That is great dude, I love how your just driven for Rock, that is great man, I salute you!!

Man HIM, you sure are a rocker!
My hat goes off to you. Keep it real, LIVE LARGE! ROCK HARD! I hope that when I grow up I can be half the rocker that you are. |

How lame is it to make a thread, to tell everyone how much of a rocker you are.
That is almost as lame as making a thread, to tell everyone how much of an emo you are. |

wow, I am really slow. ughh, I'm sorry, I am really slow.
Usually when ppl use sarcasm, they put in like a *** smiley in or make it REALLY sarcastic. If you make it a normal post, then noone can tell until you make another post. I dunno, I'm slow, sorry, carry on. |

So when I was 10, my mother couldn't afford guy pants so I just wore my sisters pants. It was then I knew I was destined to be....an emo! |
The other day, my girlfriend broke up with. So I went to Hot Topic, and I bought the new Hawthorn Heights CD, and it really spoke to me. It was then that I knew. I am a tr00 emo.
|
Hey Alex, me and the guys are gonna have a group slit-your-fest, you in?
|

Ok, I already didnt like you because of your other immature posts...Then I read this. First off, HIM is good, but not great. And I consider true rockers like hardcore. Not sitting around growing their hair out and listening to ****ty pop-ish bands. You're just like everybody I hate and that makes me laugh. I wont respect anything you have to say.
