Everyone makes a big deal about my so called 'bashing,' and when he says this, no one even flinches. This forum is pretty sad, and I think the mods would agree with me here. You guys don't want constitutive criticism of your favourite songs/artists, you just want yes-men all day long. Stone Magnet hates DT but do you see me complaining? Jesus, I even wrote a negative DT album review...

Okay but is saying this:

Even though we both know that it's just another way of saying “I'm not smart enough to pick out on any errors so I'll just try and be funny.”

If you this this whole forum is pretty sad, then why bother staying?

You never know, maybe when I post my positive review people may start to change their views of me.

Only if its a band that isnt Dream Theater, or a band that belongs to a genre called prog metal.

Good luck on that.

I didn't realise you knew me better than myself. I also enjoy Radiohead, Muse, Killswitch Engage, Machine Head, Soilwork, In Flames, Children of Bodom, Arch Enemy, 36 Crazyfists, Kamelot, Dragonforce, Nightwish, Vai, Satriani, Yngwie, Becker, etc, etc.

All prog metal baby.

Let me make this easier, how about something that dosent involve the words "prog" or "metal".

How does that song make you FEEL.

Hm, let's go through some adjectives I used, shall we?

drab
dull
head bangin' feel
embarrassing
boring
interesting
dark
stupefied
consonant
lively mood
hypnotic
beautiful
annoyance

Okay I'll stop now. And I'm pretty sure I didn't write them all for the fun of it. Of course I rate the songs based on how I feel, how in the hell can you tell me how I feel? Jesus Christ.

Kamelot is also power metal, Dragonfoce is power metal/heavy metal, Nightwish is also heavy metal, but yeah maybe I should have left them out, and Yngwie...oh dear: guitar virtuoso and the closest thing he gets to prog metal is neo-classical metal.

Hmmm. The Living End are okay, I used to like them a lot and umm Satriani... You're right about me not being diverse, but that's just my taste, it's not as if I haven't listened to everything from pop to death metal. Classical is my favourite genre anyway so I guess I do have a diverse taste.
