yes, the only KISS worth bothering with is from 1974-1978. The rest is hit or miss.

But they revolutionized the rock concert experience. Just look at the history books and count the number of things KISS did - including the first band to break attendance records held by The Beatles at Budkoan.

Not really. Kurt wore these things as everyday casual clothing, there is nothing more to it.

wrong. it became his image, which became the same kind of costume KISS wore. Kurt's grunge look was every bit the costume KISS was.

But The Beatles were actually able to set that record based on musical talent.
KISS had to rely on theatrics.
