Here in Iowa the local Rock station overplays Metallica like crazy. They even have "Manditory Metallica" which is 3 straight songs every day.

Alot of Markets have that, which is a testament to their influence. I know a Providence station has it. They used to have it in Boston, but that station doens't know what its doing so it was short lived.

Mildly similar, the Boston classic rock station has "Stairway to Seven" in which you get a channel changing dose of Zeppelin every night.
