Hahahahahahahaha, you like jamiroqui. |
People like them because they are good, they were grunge but they were a different kind of grunge. They didn't have the same sound as Nirvana or Pearl Jam they were more close to metal and that appealed to a larger crowd since it was the early 90s when they got big.
|
^dude, i love your sig!!
|
Oh lovely, we're back on topic now.
I'd almost definitely class them in the same sound as Nirvana, but yes, they were more metal. Dirt was their big break through. |
yeah, in the unplugged one they joke about not doing a gig in a while its funny :)

Facelift was a far better album though:) |

Jamiroqui is like easy listenings answer to hip hop. |
Quote:
" Acid Jazz - the term is used to cover a wide range of music. Originating back in 1987 in the UK dance scene it defined a funky music style which incorporated elements of jazz, 70s funk, hip-hop, soul, and latin grooves. It could be all live, it could be sampled, and it could be a mixture of the both. The focus was on the music and not on the lyrics/words. The music has a definite groove, some is high energy dance normally with a Latin groove whilst others are more contemplative." and now you're saying jamiroqui is hip hop?!....i suggest you stop listening to iron maiden , it's clearly destroying your brain cells.... |

theres really nothing special about Alice in Chains nowdays, but when they got big, it was during the whole Seattle grunge movement and they were one of the best out of a long list of shitty bands that were grouped together because of the new genre that everyone was so crazy about.
edit: rooster is a good song too adidasss |
Seconded, yeeeeeaaaaah they've come to snuff the rooooosssttter.
|
Intro (Dream Sequence) is funny. At the end someone yells RED RUM and it goes into Hate To Feel, and what is Layn (sp?) talking about in Anger Chair?

Coldplay are mainstream, but again, why does that mean their music is bad? Edit: I only have AIC's Dirt album, but I think it's very good. Rooster, Bones, Would, Rain When I die, etc are all awesome songs. |

nice :) but to you who mr. music is pwnage he is entitled to listen to what ever he wants and so are you. everyone is and we can critisize everyone about everything but that will get us no where in the end of the day so lets all just go sit down in front of a big T.V. and watch Family Guy |
But seriously who doesn't like Bob Marley? I'm yet to meet one person who doesn't...
|
It is against the laws of physics because if you don't like Bob Marly then you cannot truely enjoy Jamacia to the full extent (including the weed)... I think that Bob Marly's hair is really God's stash and that if any one were to smoke it they would die of the holy-ness of the hit.

2. I like most bands from the grunge scene, i think there were some talented bands who were never given enough credit because they were given a lousy label. So too each his own. |
