http://www.agoraphobicnosebleed.com/
under mp3 section, check out North American Corpse Desecration or Ceremonial Gasmask first, not sure what your tastes are but you might like.

The Red Chord's site is down, so go here for a couple mp3's:
http://www.sicrecords.net/home.html
its in the archives of "Band of the Month"

well, i was going for extreme as in a little bit... for the lack of a better word, crazy. Cephalic Carnage definately goes under there, along with Pig.... have not heard any Discordance Axis, though.

Id still have to say for extremities,Dillinger escape plan.There a new type of heavy music.But if your looking at all out brutality,Deicide,Sikfuk,Pig Destroyer,Exhumed,Six Feet Under or Nasum are all pretty extreme.

in my opinion there are more than plenty bands that are extreme... maybe one band compared to another (i.e. Metallica to Napalm Death) is more extreme, but no one reigns as the "most brutal" to me, as it is all opinion.

The Red Chord are a good band, but they're far from being really extreme. If you like them though, you might want to check out a little-known Danish (I think) band called Lipid. I'm not sure where you can get mp3s of them (bar p2ps), but their album is available through Copro records (www.coprorecords.co.uk).

Anyway, most extreme band..I don't know. There's many different types of extreme - heaviness/brutality, technicality, sheer volume, bleakness/sparseness, etc.

My gut choices;
Heaviness/brutality - Cryptopsy (with Lord Worm)
Technicality - Cynic, Atheist, Spastic Ink.
Volume - \m/ MANOWAR! \m/
Bleakness - not sure..Neurosis? Or maybe some black metal band..

Also, Six Feet Under - they are, as a friend of mine once said, officially less metal than Perry Como. They're terrible.
