By the stupid drug user from the 70's.. are you refering to the people who made the music you're praising? I'm a bit confused.

ZeppelinAir 06-02-2006 05:47 PM

they are drug users yes but they made great lyrics, if you dont think so go look for self, stupid drug users as compared to the ones we have today they relay havent change, have they

Urban Hat€monger ? 06-02-2006 05:48 PM

Well i`m convinced of your arguement.

Those drugs from 1980 onwards were rubbish

explosions-in-my-pants 06-02-2006 07:11 PM

Classic Rock is wonderful.. old Judas Priest, Iron Maiden, Led Zeppelin, Queen.. all that jazz rules.

I alsoi listen to a lot of pop-punk.

mosesandtherubberducky 06-02-2006 07:25 PM

Sure I listen to old music...like.....errrr.....Spacemen 3 they've got to be somewhat old.....and...I'm really digging for some here guys......King Crimson.....yeah KC.....gah it's to hard. I guess I'm a 10 foot tall bullet proof punk.

ZeppelinAir 06-02-2006 07:33 PM

Sounds like not many people are with me, what am i saying not to many people like me

mosesandtherubberducky 06-02-2006 07:37 PM

Isn't that a good thing? Shouldn't people be able to grow and expand their tastes beyond what has been done? Because honestly who wants to listen to something that is dead? Or do anything that is socially, physically, or mentally dead?

ZeppelinAir 06-02-2006 07:43 PM

you know i hate to tell you there STILL playing so it is not dead get it through your head that none of that will die

sleepy jack 06-02-2006 07:54 PM

*yawn* anyone else getting sick of annoying classic rock fanboys with the same bland arguement as to why their music owns modern music? I prefer my 'new age junk' over most classic rock. I also hate zeppelin quite a bit, and don't see whats the least bit cool about pedophilia, satanism, and i've even heard stuff about them being zoophilies.

mosesandtherubberducky 06-02-2006 07:55 PM

I guess you hate to hear horrible music still being played too then.

Merkaba 06-02-2006 07:58 PM

It's rather sad how people are stuck in the 70's.

Some good music, but the grass is always greener on the other side...

Urban Hat€monger ? 06-02-2006 07:58 PM

It`s all about balance.

There was good stuff in the 70s , there just also happen to be a lot of crap as well.

And it`s exactly the same today.

Maybe you might find a bit of support if you didn`t just assume all modern music is 'new age junk'.

Seriously we don`t need to be told how great Led Zeppelin are AGAIN.

ZeppelinAir 06-02-2006 07:59 PM

This is an example of the decline of civallization as we know it, example above urban hatemonger, led zeppelin is great but im saying that im saying that more people should listen to this stuff.

Wow you call that a decline but you are the one that is staying to an old style. A decline is not accepting something new that will improve life. You aren't accepting something new that is better. Just shut the fuck up.

ZeppelinAir 06-02-2006 08:10 PM

Crowquill your heads in the right spot

explosions-in-my-pants 06-02-2006 08:10 PM

Why don't you people start giving him names of some bands to listen to then. I'm a big classic rock/metal fan and i really enjoy alt rock of now, such as cold and bush. I also enjoy pop punk such as, bayside, and alkaline trio.. punk rock/ and or rock music is good too, like Brand New, and Finch. You can't go wrong with Sunny Day Real Estate, or The Appleseed Cast either. I was a big classic rock fan first and then it led me to these bands plus others.. give some a listen if you want just random songs from each let me know and i'll tell you the names of some good songs.

sleepy jack 06-02-2006 08:19 PM

Yeah, with his attitude he'll actually check the bands out & I quote him.

The Fall Of Troy
Circle Takes The Square (screamo)
Thrice (post-hardcore)
Thursday (post-hardcore)
Trophy Scars (emo/post-hardcore)

Basically, if you dismiss these bands off as garbage, then you really need to open your mind.

You are possibly the most annoying person to post on a music forum.
