Why were you banned from progarchives?

I'm a member, but i don't post there any more, too many jerks.

Plus some of my least favorite prog bands were the ones that got most of the attention....

Like Dream Theater. http://i7.photobucket.com/albums/y28...ons/hanged.gif

It's either rock or it isn't.

Peace

Sound determines what you genre you're in. Not lyrics. Some genres have a signature type of lyrics but most definitely are not limited to that style and is it not the only genre capable of putting out those kind of lyrics.

It could take me forever to figure out how to correctly word this so I'll just shoot.
Every genre has a particular sound that seperates it from all the others. The exception is when you're comparing sub genres or pop, which I'll leave alone cause. . .
The fact is, sometimes lyrics can definitely help determine to what genre a particular band or song belongs to.
In the case of Aiden I personally think they're emo or. . . . rock.

Peace

Aiden is not emo, you are a ****ing idiot if you believe that.
Saetia, CTTS, DDISTBD, Welcome, The Plauge Year, Hot Cross, pg. 99, orchid, indian summer. Those are emo bands. Not aiden, or any band like them.

Vocal aproach has a greater affect at establishing a genre than lyrics. ie: punk, grunge, metal, emo, ska. There's a huge range of topics discussed by each genre but, they sometimes share a similar vocal aproach. You'll never convince me that Aiden is emo. If you took the time to browse around in our emo forum you'd understand.

you obviously didn't finish reading my post because if you did, it does say or rock.

And further more if having an opinion different from yours makes me a ****ing idiot in your eyes then I feel sorry for you. I imagine it must be hard being so ignorant and narrow minded.

Peace
