90's. Grunge and post-grunge (Nirvana, Everclear, Bush, Oleander, Collective Soul, Pearl Jam, etc.)

Britpop (Blur.)

Shoegazer or noise rock (Dinosaur Jr., King's X, The Lemonheads, The Catherine Wheel, etc.)

Punk or ska (The Offspring, The Suicide Machines, etc.)

Other classic bands of the 90's I love: at the drive-in, U2, The Red Hot Chili Peppers, Silverchair, Alannis Morrisette, The Smashing Pumpkins, etc.

I can't vote, because you didn't include a category for all of them

every decade had something cutting edge, every decade had something that someone thought was brilliant at the time, every decade had something cutting edge, every decade had something that they didn't understand at the time, but thought was brilliant years later.

to take another view, the answer is always going to be the present decade, as it is always the fresh and new...

there are music gems everywhere, but no one person will ever no them all...

there is no option for all of them because the poll is comparing them all to each other. an "all of them" option would eliminate the purpose of the poll.

pretty simple.

70's 'cause of U2 (Late), and Disco. I also think The Starving Artless' idea is good, since I enjoy all eras of music, but since Disco was so big I guess I'd have to have picked that one, and since I only had 1 option.

90's, plenty of bands then, the earlier influences hadnt totaly died, but there was a good amount of new material surfacing.

U2 never released any thing in the 70's.

I liked the 60s and 70s, not a big fan of the 80s. I'd say my favorite bands are all in these decades. The 90s weren't bad either, lot of garbage in the 80s I think. I don't like any of U2s new songs and albums, makes me kinda of sad.

I like alot of U2's new material. And I'll still say it's the 90's, hands down.

Mainstream wise? Easily the 60's or 70's....but nowadays if you search deep enough there is some of the greatest music ever made, I vote for present
