The 90's, followed close by the 70's. Simply cos of Smashing Pumpkins, Pearl Jam, Alice In Chains. Pantera, Kyuss, Tool and Soundgarden.

I can't vote, because you didn't include a category for all of them

every decade had something cutting edge, every decade had something that someone thought was brilliant at the time, every decade had something cutting edge, every decade had something that they didn't understand at the time, but thought was brilliant years later.

to take another view, the answer is always going to be the present decade, as it is always the fresh and new...

there are music gems everywhere, but no one person will ever no them all...

It depends... If you love rock music 70s is the best decade... If you are a metalhead 80s and 90s...

And then I realized... like I was shot... like I was shot with a diamond... a diamond bullet right through my forehead. And I thought: My God... the genius of that.

70s.

The 70s caught some of the psychedelic wave and there was a lot of good prog and classic rock.

Definitely my choice.
