Last I read they were still on hiatus...after what, 3 or 4 years? No official break up though as far as I know.

That's a pretty long Hiatus... maybe they'll suprise us and sort stuff out...

Well they said they're going on Hiatus for at least 3 years.
What's bumming me out though, that all they're past appearances in 2009, were without Serj. Doesn't seem like he's going back with them.

oh man i'm so glad i got to see them with everyone there.

in fact...it was one of the coolest shows i saw. it was at ozzfest one year and as my brother and i were walking around we noticed this guy wondering around with a portable amp and guitar just jamming out and getting really into it (obviously homeless as well). we watched for a while wondering who the hell this guy was....then when SOAD started playing the guy was on stage with them just jamming out! he wasn't hooked up to a big amp or anything so you couldn't really hear him..but he was getting into the music anyway. they had seen this guy wondering around and asked if he wanted to join up onstage! it was great!

^^ lol that sounds like a fun time, i wish i was able to see them live before they went on hiatus.

Although, i heard roomers at the start of last year about them coming back and playing in some sort of European tour for some charity thing. I haven't seen it yet and i haven't heard anything about it since that one instance.

I think they'll visit Lebanon if they tour, as there are over 300 000 Armenian living here. And usually everything they do is for their home country.

I really hope Serj is still on board.... he's one of my favorite hard rock vocalists, and without him SOAD would be different... not necessarily bad, but different...

I dunno, if he's not doing vocals then I'd imagine it'd just be Daron doing vocals and if that's the case then I think it'd be very bad. However I'm just repeating an opinion I made abundantly clear earlier so I'll shut up about Daron's singing capabilities.

If Serj was out of the band, I'd rather they just call themselves Scars on Broadway with Shavo. Serj basically WAS the band for me.
