well thats fine if thats what you want to think
i admit to be a massive fan, i have no problems with that as their music means everything to me and helped me through the most horrible times in my life including the past week
i have posted about other bands and i don't bother to put up new threads in case i get slagged but i like to see peoples opinions on SOAD and like to have proper conversations about their work with people
I don't just like political rock but am a big fan of Rage Against The Machine and Dead Kennedys
basically all types of rock music wether it be emo, metal, prog, indie etc
i'm sorry you feel that my opinion doesn't count

SOAD is a great band with great inovations in their songs. They are new, interesting, powerful sound and catchy. I didn't like the Poltical rock-ness that much but they pulled it off pretty well. I am going to get the new album pretty soon and I hope it is great.

you don't like political lyrics? yes, it's better when they sing about cutting their wrists or about sex and shit....much more powerful and meaningful......either you're 12 or an airhead! wake the fuck up!

what the hell? I said I didn't like how the whole album was about politics but it was o.k. If I wanted to do that, I would listen to RATM. I never said that their lyrics are powerful or meaningful. I said they have powerful sound as in I like how they play their guitars. I have plenty of other bands if I want to listen to meaningful lyrics. Shut the **** up.

I think toxicity is by far their best album. Even though I haven't heard the rest it is just to good to beat.

Don't worry about it it is a fantastic album
You'll love every minute of it and if you listen deep into their music you can find meaningful music you just need to try to understand it
Like to me Lonely Day is a meaningful song in the non political sense and Soldier Side is meaningful in the political sense
