I voted Undertow only because Aenima has that filler. Take those away and it's just a touch over an EP, but, oh, what an EP. Undertow is solid music all the way through and "Flood" is in my top 3 favs. (Of course "46&2" and "H" are the other 2) Confused? Me too.

^ i actually like the so called filler except for ions... message to harry manback is hilarious
Not knocking it at all, don't get me wrong, it's just after so many listens, I now tend to skip those tracks is all.:)
I wouldn't call it filler because it has meanings. But it does lose it's novelty after about 5 listens. The technical/correct term is segue. If you take out all the segues Aenima is still a solid album. It comes out to about 66 minutes if you take em out.
^ yeah, and that is definatley not an E.P
ooooh i like them all except for 10000 days. total cop out.

Aenima has the two best Tool songs on it. But I like the overall Lateralus sound more.
Aenima has that kind of raw sound that they always had, and I love it to bits, but when Lateralus came out, it was so much sharper, and I thought the variation between the songs gave the album more character and body. I love Salival's Merkaba, it's so eerie and ambient. It also has, imo, a better version of Pushit, and No Quater is my third favourite Tool track ever and it's a damn cover haha. |

and for those who don't already know there's a little secret track thing when you play Viginti trees and Wings for Marie in sequence at the same time as 10,000 days |
Aenima > Lateralus > Undertow > Opiate > 10,000 Days
I rate them in the reverse order that they've come out, with the exception of 10,000 Days, which can go at the bottom. I like it, but it was seriously lacking the knockout punches.
